This beautiful school urgently needs a boundary wall and fence to ensure safety, and provide a secure, supportive environment for students.
Shree Kalika Basic School, located in Kispang-5, Gogane, Nepal, is a non-profit government school dedicated to providing free, quality education and meals to students in remote areas. Established in 2048, the school has been a vital educational resource for the community. However, it currently faces challenges in ensuring the security and safety of its premises due to the lack of a proper boundary fence and protective infrastructure.
The construction of a boundary wall and fence will enhance security, prevent vandalism, and create a safe, conducive learning environment for students. The community have agreed to provide volunteers to carry out the unskilled labor component of this project. As always with Active Hearts Foundation we wish to encourage community buy in giving ownership and pride to the students and their families.
Summary of Construction Materials and Budget
The scope of work at Shree Kalika Basic School includes constructing cement walls and building a boundary fence on top.
The required materials, their quantities, rates, and costs are detailed below:
– Machinery Walls Materials Used: Cement, sand, aggregate, stone, and transportation.
Total Cost: 476,150 NPR
– Boundary Fence Materials Used: Black pipe, various steel angles, grill, and chain link.
Total Cost: 317,472 NPR
-Skilled Labor Cost 276,125 NPR
– Unskilled Labor Cost 263,160 NPR (To be volunteered by the local community)
Total Project Cost (Excluding Unskilled Labor): 1,069,747 NPR
