Jalpa Devi School Bathroom Project
Jalpa Devi School is in desperate need of a bathroom upgrade.
The school is located approximately 1.5h drive north from Kathmandu City in the Kakani municipality.
We wish to rebuild the small derelict bathroom building into a clean and functional facility with separate girls and boys bathroom blocks.

THIS PROJECT IS SUPPORTED BY HEARTSPACE EXPEDITIONS AND GUESTS JOINING THE GANESH HIMAL 2024 CHARITY TREK
Jalpa Devi School has a student role of approximately 300 students aged from 5 – 12 yrs.
The school is located in a beautiful but remote part of Nepal north of Kathmandu Valley. The current bathroom facilities are old and broken with little privacy and poor sanitation. It is important children have access to quality bathroom facilities with proper hand washing stations.
The school received funding for repair and rebuild after the 2015 earthquakes. These funds have long since been exhausted and the bathroom is in desperate need of attention.
This project will remove the old bathroom block and rebuild two new separate blocks. One for boys and one for girls. They will each have a proper hand washing station attached.
The quoted cost for this project is $18,000 NZD (11,000USD)
