Michele’s Everest Base Camp Trek Anniversary Fundraiser

Last year, on April 20th, I embarked on an unforgettable journey to Mount Everest. Amidst the awe-inspiring, magical landscapes, one of the most heartwarming moments was interacting with the children in the villages along the way. Carrying lollipops in my backpack, witnessing the joy on their faces upon receiving these simple treats was truly priceless.

During our expedition, our team leader, Arjun Adhikari, told me about Active Hearts, a charity he passionately supports in Nepal. Arjun is a co-founder of the charity ets:2015. Active Hearts initiates various projects such as building schools, libraries, irrigation systems, and more, aimed at assisting children and families, especially those residing in rural areas with limited resources. 

Last summer, I sent a shipment of books and Jenga sets to these children. As the one-year anniversary of our trek approaches, I am determined to continue supporting their endeavors. To commemorate this occasion, I invite you to join me in raising funds for Active Hearts’ ongoing projects. Your contribution will play a crucial role in empowering these children to envision and achieve their aspirations.
